Nathan Chandler Furniture is a small furniture business located in central Illinois. We build affordable heirloom furniture, using local resources and age-old craftsmanship, designed to last a lifetime.

We use only the highest quality local hardwoods. The material for your project is carefully selected; we pay special attention to grain direction and pattern. Our plywood use is limited, sourced from the United States or Canada, and formaldehyde free.

We use joinery techniques such as dovetails and mortise & tenon. These techniques have been used by craftsmen for centuries; they take a little extra time and effort but it's worth it. The joints are strong, durable, and attractive.

Today, furniture is cheaply made and overpriced. We keep our business overhead low and pass the savings on to our customers. We focus on 1 project at a time and rely on word of mouth advertising.

Nearly all of our hardwoods come from central Illinois. A majority of our hardwoods are reclaimed. We work with homeowners and tree service businesses, offsetting their costs and reclaiming trees.
